The below quote is from President Russell M. Nelson talk titled, Revelation for the Church, Revelation for Our Lives. He also talks about how received the news that President Thomas S. Monson passed through the veil into the next life.

President Nelson Tells Youth to Take a “Break from Fake” and Help Gather Israel

I was looking for how to be able to hear the Holy Ghost. I knew President Russell M. Nelson talked to the youth about this but I couldn't remember what it was. I found it. He had talked at a Worldwide Youth Devotional. This is that part I remember, "...Recently, his parents found things on his phone that were inappropriate for a follower of Jesus Christ. They insisted that he go off social media for a time." Another part I remember was, "Recently, his parents found things on his phone that were inappropriate for But if you are paying more attention to feeds from social media than you are to the whisperings of the Spirit, then you are putting yourself at spiritual risk—as well as the risk of experiencing intense loneliness and depression. You follower of Jesus Christ. They insisted that he go off social media for a time."

A summary of it is found at President Nelson Tells Youth to Take a “Break from Fake” and Help Gather Israel. The full Worldwide Youth Conference address can be located at: Hope of Israel.

Sister Nelson talks about being married to President Nelson...

One part Sister Nelson said was, “What’s caught my attention about that is to see how much the people love the Lord, and therefore they’re so drawn to the prophet.” I know. It's true. They ❤️love❤️ the Lord. When I was serving as a missionary in Chile I could see the great ❤️love❤️ for the Lord. Now in Spanish: Yo sé. Es verdad. Ellos ❤️aman❤️ el Señor. Cuando estaba serviendo como misionera en Chile podía ver que ellos tienen un gran ❤️amor❤️ por el Señor.

The Great Commandment

The Great Commandment talk was given by Joseph B. Wirthlin in October 2007. This is one part that he gave in his talk, "When we reach out to assist the least of Heavenly Father’s children, we do it unto Him.." He was 90 years old when he gave this talk. He was shaking as he was speaking to the member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (and other people who were listening to General Conference). At the very end of this talk Russell M. Nelson came and stood behind him until he finished his talk. What a perfect example of the pure love of Christ. Love, always remember to love others. Jesus loves you. Always show your love to others like Jesus Christ did while He was upon this Earth. He still shows his love to each and every one of us. Remember to love always as you minister to those around you. Help those that need it. Help those that might not need it. Serve like Jesus did. Remember this scripture, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." (Matthew 22:37–40) If we remember the example of Jesus Christ in our daily lives, we will be blessed and we can bless others.

Let Your Faith Show

On this sabbath morning, in a time of the coronavirus, we never know what kinds of things we will see or read while we are about our every day lives. When I was on Facebook this morning, someone had shared a video of President Russell M. Nelson. Men's Hearts Shall Fail Them was the video that was shared.  (Added 9/19/20) I forgot to add that this is a story of a woman that was scared they were going to crash because of the airplane engine had failed. Read or listen the story from the link or videos on this page.

(Updated 9/19/20) Let Your Faith Show might be the talk I was thinking of that he gave when I watched the first video but it wasn't. As you know, when you hear certain stories, those stories stay in your mind as if they were only yesterday. It is just like life, you remember certain things and they stay in your head forever.

We must have faith. Faith that this pandemic will be removed from this Earth. Faith that we can bear whatever comes to us in our daily lives. Faith that Jesus is the Christ. Faith that we are loved. Faith that our Heavenly Father and Jesus love us. Faith to live in this world today. Our Heavenly Father loves us and we can make it through whatever is placed before us. Have faith. Be strong.

D&C 25

Here are the next parts of Doctrine and Covenants 25.

Verse 3
It reads, "Behold, thy sins are forgiven thee, ...". We all can have our sins forgiven. We need prayer with a sincere heart. We will know if our sins are forgiven by the calm feeling we receive. This is the Holy Ghost. Our Heavenly Father and Jesus loves us very much. They want us to be happy so they give us the opportunity to repent of our sins.

Verse 9
It states Emma will be given callings in the church. We might receive callings in the church too. It doesn't matter how big or small it is. What matters is we are serving the Lord and helping others too.

Verse 10
It states "...lay aside the things of this world, and seek for the things of a better." We do not need to do what the world does. We don't need to follow what the world does. We can be an example. Others will look up to us if we do what is right. They will want to do better because of example that you show them.

Verses 11-12
In these verses it talks about hymns and the importance of them. Songs are so important to everyone. It makes us happy as individuals and as a group. It cheers us when we are sad. We feel happier when we listen or sing songs. In verse 11 Emma was commanded "to make a selection of sacred hymns". It states in verse 12, "For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me". The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has lots of hymns. It is important to us as members of the church as it was to the first members of the church.

Verse 13
We need to keep our covenants with the Lord just like Emma and Joseph Smith did.

Verse 14
We need to be meek and we need to be aware of pride like Emma was told.

Verse 15
We need to continue to be keep the commandments and be righteous in all that we do. The Celestial kingdom is a place to strive to live after we die.

How you deal with life’s trials is part of the development of your faith. Strength comes when you remember that you have a divine nature, an inheritance of infinite worth. (Russell M. Nelson, “Face the Future with Faith”, April 2011).

Spiritual Treasures and President Nelson's Challenge

President Russell M. Nelson gave the women of the church a challenge to do before the next conference. It was his talk at the Women's Session of General Conference in October 2019 "As you exercise faith in the Lord and His priesthood power, your ability to draw upon this spiritual treasure that the Lord has made available will increase." He gave some powerful words in this talk. He talked about Joseph Smith and the restoration of the priesthood power. He also talked about Emma Smith, Joseph Smith wife. This is part of what he said to the women, "The Lord instructed Emma to expound the scriptures, to exhort the Church, to receive the Holy Ghost, and to spend her time 'learning much.' Emma was also counseled to “lay aside the things of this world and seek for the things of a better” and to hold fast to her covenants with God. The Lord concluded His instruction with these compelling words: 'This is my voice unto all.' ”

You can read and hear his talk at Spiritual Treasures. This is also the talk that President Nelson announced eight new temples around the world to only the women of church. Yes, to the women of the church. We must be very important to our Heavenly Father and our prophet. They love us very much.

Here are the challenges. Every member can take upon them these challenges that President Nelson gave the women.

1. "I invite you to study prayerfully section 25 of the Doctrine and Covenants and discover what the Holy Ghost will teach you."

2. "I entreat you to study prayerfully all the truths you can find about priesthood power. You might begin with Doctrine and Covenants sections 84 and 107. Those sections will lead you to other passages."
