Latter-day Saint Leaders Honor Pioneers of Past and Present

"Each July 24th, Latter-day Saints in Utah and around the world celebrate Pioneer Day, an official holiday that the U.S. state celebrates to commemorate the first group of the faith’s pioneers that arrived in the Salt Lake Valley nearly 175 years ago."

It is July 24, 2020. Let us remember the pioneers that crossed the plains so many years ago. They sacrificed a lot for the church. There are pioneers in our time too. Let us remember them too. Happy Pioneer Day!

Story of the Song, “Follow the Prophet”

The Creator of Beloved Children’s Song “Follow the Prophet” Passes Away. Duane Hiatt passed away on May 24, 2020. He wrote the words and music to the children's song Follow the Prophet. These videos are about the history the coming about of the song, "Follow the Prophet". One part he talks about a certain pioneer, Stillman Pond and the trials he went through will crossing the trails to go to Utah.
